Picture this: stuck in a never-ending grocery line, when out of nowhere, this guy crashes into my pregnant wife and our cart. I was on the verge of losing it, but she had a different, impressive plan up her sleeve. Get ready for some serious karma.

As a child, my mother always used to say: “What will be, will be.” I only realized the truth much later. I struggled with releasing things. Relying on karma didn’t appear to be the most effective strategy when you had the power to control the situation yourself.
How frequently do you witness justice being served in real life? Everything changed when I met my partner, Karol, who showed me how the universe has its way of balancing things out.
Returning to the start, I crossed paths with her while navigating life at 26. She quickly became the highlight of my daily routine, and I believe her presence helped me become more relaxed. Perhaps that’s not accurate, but I believe she altered my perspective on life.
The restlessness that I had experienced in my early adult life transformed into a sense of protectiveness. Bold and untamed. Our relationship didn’t progress rapidly. We were friends and lovers, and until then, I didn’t know how that was possible, but she demonstrated it to me.
We savored each moment, and after three years, I made the decision to propose. We tied the knot in an intimate ceremony surrounded by our loved ones and began to build our life together.
Life reached a new level of happiness when we discovered Karol was expecting. I felt an overwhelming surge of protectiveness in my heart. I felt the need to stay vigilant.
My mother chuckled at me for that incident. Even though Karol wasn’t visibly pregnant yet, I made sure to assist her with tasks and encourage her to take breaks and relax. My mother shook her head at me and repeated her mantra: “What will be, will be.”
That didn’t imply I couldn’t be ready, just in case. As Karol’s belly expanded, the situation deteriorated. Only after she lashed out did I realize and retreat.
Hey Josh! I am independent and self-sufficient! Wow!
I was aware of that, but what if she were to fall? One glance, more of a subtle glance, from her was all I needed to feel a bit more at ease. She assigned me a task: to design the nursery, and it brought me a sense of calm.
However, after a few months, I sensed that my tranquility was on the verge of shattering. Karol and I found ourselves in an enormous line at the grocery store, and I started to get anxious as she kept moving around. That resulted in discomfort in her feet. She was seven months pregnant after all.
Suddenly, a large man comes crashing through, colliding with our cart and my wife who is expecting.
“Excuse me, I’m in a hurry!”
Oh, the nerve! I could feel my frustration rising, possibly due to the time I spent being present. However, Karol stopped me just as I was about to confront that person.
“Don’t bother with him, just wait and see what happens next,” she whispered.
I remained motionless, completely intrigued. Witnessing Mr. Rude Guy confidently pay for his items and walk towards the exit, only to be interrupted by an alarm. Suddenly, two guards emerged and escorted him away.
I overheard Karol’s laughter. I looked at her with a puzzled expression. “How did you figure that out?” I inquired, on the verge of bursting into laughter as well.
As he was asserting his authority, I discreetly placed an item in his pocket. A farewell present with a security tag. With a playful wink, she chuckled even more.
I was completely shocked. She gazed at me with a pure expression, and I couldn’t help but chuckle along with her. I am so lucky to have married the most amazing woman.
I discovered that relying solely on karma is one approach, but giving life a little nudge can greatly enhance it.
