Liam Neeson, still grappling with the grief from his wife’s tragic skiing accident in 2009, has revealed a hopeful chapter in his personal life. In an interview with the Irish Independent, the Taken star disclosed that he is romantically involved with an “incredibly famous” woman, withholding her identity. While maintaining discretion, Neeson hinted at potential Valentine’s Day plans, emphasizing the sentimental value of a simple bouquet.
Despite the actor’s reluctance to divulge further details, a representative clarified that Neeson’s comments about the new relationship were made in jest. Neeson’s late wife, Natasha Richardson, passed away in 2009 after a skiing accident in Quebec, Canada, making her death a sensitive topic for the actor.
The couple had met on the set of the Broadway play “Anna Christie” in 1993, marrying the following year and raising two sons together. Neeson’s journey through grief became public in a 60 Minutes interview, sharing the heartbreaking decision to turn off Natasha’s life support.
After a two-year relationship with British publicist Freya St Johnston ended in 2012, Neeson is embracing new beginnings. His recent collaboration with son Micheál in an LG commercial adds a special dimension to his life, marking their first on-screen appearance together. Despite personal challenges, Neeson remains committed to his craft, with upcoming projects like Martin Scorcese’s “Silence” and the war drama “Operation Chromite” in the pipeline.
